Breast Screening

Friday, October 23, 20269:00 AM – 3:00 PMKwaprow Community Centre, UCC

About this event

As part of the UPOSA Homecoming Celebration, we are proud to organize a Breast Cancer Screening and Awareness Exercise, promoting good health, early detection, and preventive healthcare among our alumni and the wider community.

Breast cancer awareness is more than a campaign—it is a commitment to protecting lives. Early detection can significantly improve treatment outcomes, and appropriate screening plays an important role in identifying potential concerns before symptoms develop.

This initiative offers participants an opportunity to:

  • Access breast health screening conducted by qualified healthcare professionals.
  • Learn about breast cancer, including risk factors, warning signs, and prevention.
  • Receive professional guidance on breast health, self-awareness, and appropriate screening options.
  • Promote community wellness through education, support, and shared responsibility.
  • Empower individuals to take proactive steps toward better health.

Who Can Participate?

All UPOOSA alumni, family members, friends, and members of the community are encouraged to participate. Everyone is welcome to benefit from the awareness and educational activities, with screening eligibility determined by healthcare professionals.

Your Health Matters. Your Life Matters.

Join us as we celebrate our shared heritage, strengthen our bonds, and demonstrate that the UPOOSA family cares not only about our past and future but also about the health and well-being of every member.

Together, let’s raise awareness, encourage early detection, and save lives!
